We're Celebrating the Year of the Bible  in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the completion of the King James Bible in 1611.  Each month in our worship service we will learn a new Bible verse, we are encouraging people to read through the Bible in a year using a 6-month overview plan, and the Christian Education Committee is sponsoring a few fun Bible quiz events. 

Sunday School

We offer an adult class each Sunday morning at 9:00 am September through May. Weekly study topics are published in each issue of the Tall Spire Newsletter.  This fall we will begin a new series on the Apostles Creed.  Though creeds have always been rejected by Baptists, the Apostles' Creed if used not as a test of faith, but as a confession (or statement of faith) would be fully acceptable.  The Apostles' Creed covers in just ove a hundred words the key beliefs of Christianity.  All are welcome to come and take part in the study and discussion. 

Tuesday Bible Study                            

All are welcome to come join us for an in-depth look at the Scriptures and lively discussion.  This study is held each week at 3:00 pm at a member's home.  Beginning November 22nd we will look at the Life of David in this 12-week study.

Pillars

Proverbs 9:1 is used as the standard for the gatherings.  The seven central themes for the group are:  Scripture, Salvation, Fellowship, Evangelism, Prayer, Service and Worship.  Meets Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the church library.

Christian History Pamphlets

These are given in our worship bulletins from time to time and cover a wide variety of Christian historical themes.

Church Library

Inclusive of the room designated as the main Library, there are four areas within the church where library materials are available. The books, videos, tapes, DVDs provide for individualized study on many religious topics.  Bibles, concordances, biographies, fiction, children's books, and more are also available on loan. A special parent library is also available outside the Sanctuary in the infant/toddler area.

Children's Ministry

We offer a Jr. Church ministry during the regular worship service.  This time of Bible stories, music and crafts will be for children ages 4 through grade 4.
