Dress-a-girl is a program of Hope 4 Women International - a 501 (c) 3 nondenominational Independent Christian Organization. Our congregation and members of our community contribute to this mission of sewing dresses for girls around the world. We share in the dream "of a world in which every girl has at least one new dress ...where girls know that they are worthy of respect and that they are loved by God.
Please bring your sewing machine, neutral thread, scissors and sewing kit.
Next Dress-a-girl event: TBA
Toys for Tots is a program of hope run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. Each year, friends and members of our congregation bring new, unwrapped toys for children to church. We pray over toys before delivering them to the Wakefield Police Department for distribution to children within our local communities and greater Boston. In this way, we can share the joy of a toy at Christmas in the celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Final date for drop off at 1 Church St/Chapel is December 20th.
Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse - a 501 (c) 3
nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Our church has participated in this ministry for decades by filling shoe boxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and small gifts of love to be distributed to children worldwide, along with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
